Our mission is centered around the shared commitment to attaining freedom from suffering, guiding individuals on their spiritual journey, and cultivating a safe and inclusive space that supports holistic well-being.
Mindfulness
is area teaches clients to be fully present in the moment, increasing awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without judgment. Mindfulness forms the foundation for the other skills taught in DBT.
Distress Tolerance
Clients learn skills to cope with and tolerate distressing situations and emotions without resorting to harmful behaviors. This involves teaching skills like distraction, self-soothing, and improving the moment to help individuals endure and navigate crisis situations without making things worse.
Emotion Regulation
This area focuses on helping clients understand and name their emotions, reduce emotional vulnerability, and decrease emotional suffering. Skills include identifying and labeling emotions, increasing positive emotional events, and applying opposite action strategies.
Interpersonal Effectiveness
Clients learn strategies to ask for what they need, say no, and navigate interpersonal conflict in a healthy way. This includes assertiveness skills, balancing priorities versus demands, and building self-respect in relationships. DBT aims to create a balance between acceptance and change, helping clients build a life worth living.
